She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy P Childress and Virginia "Cecil" Simpson Childress; and her siblings, Charles, Carl, Guy Childress, Hattie Kish, Doris Shank and Betty O'Daniels.

She is survived by: her sister-in-law Katie Childress. She is also survived by 40 nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces.
