It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold L. Cavender (Charleston, West Virginia), who passed away on May 4, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Verna Cavender; his brothers, Kenny and Harvey Cavender; and his former wife Alice M. Cavender. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Maddox Cavender of Charleston; his children, Fred Cavender (Cheryl) of Louden, TN and Vickie Cavender Ovington (Jeff) of Wilmington, NC; his grandchildren, Ellen Cavender and Will Cavender; his great grandchild Hunter Cottongim; his stepchildren, Mylinda Maddox of Charleston, WV and Molly McMeans (Jerry); his stepgrandchildren, Kelsey and Whitney of South Charleston, WV; his stepson Bobby Maddox (April); and his stepgrandchildren, Briana, Joshua and Jonathan of Lafayette. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
