He was predeceased by: his wife Louise Hughes; his parents, Skeeter Moles and Elizabeth Ramsey Hughes; and his siblings, Richard Hughes, Harry Hughes, Martin Hughes, Jr., Eugene Hughes, Effie Kryzak and Beulah Hawkless.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Bondurant (Jerry), Dan Hughes (Barbara) of Colorado, Rick Hughes (Jeannie) of Cross Lanes and Kathy Nida (David) of Ripley. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
