In loving memory of Genevieve Adams of Charleston, West Virginia, who departed this world on December 28, 2024 at the age of 102. Genevieve leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Genevieve is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Genevieve's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husband Sparky Adams; and her foster mother Minnie Taylor. She is survived by: her children, Sparky Adams II (Harriett) of Scott Depot, Hank Adams (June) of Nitro, WV and Janie Brown (Tom) of Dublin, Ohio. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, one step granddaughter, one step grandson, and one step great-grandson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Keller Funeral Home (1236 Myers Ave, Dunbar, WV 25064). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cunningham Memorial Park. In 2014, she returned to Putnam County (Scott Depot) and attended Redeemer Presbyterian Church until the pandemic in 2019.
