He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Loren Wesley O'Dell and Maxine Harper O'Dell; his brother Douglas O'Dell; his grandparents, Baboo, Papoo Harper (Stella) and Gary; his sister Gail McMillen (Dennis); his nephew Dustin O'Dell; and his nieces, Shannon Lawman (John) and Brie Carr (Brian).

In accordance with his wishes, Gary was cremated and there was no visitation due to Covid-19 concerns.
