It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Evelyn Herndon of Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away at the age of 93, on June 24, 2020. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Herndon (Shorty); her parents, Algin Isaacs and Gladys Isaacs; and her siblings, Algin Jr., William, Robert, Norman, Samuel, Ralph, James Isaacs and Rowena Burdette.
She is survived by: her daughters, Margaret Waybright and Sharon Paterno of Scott Depot; her brothers, Jerry Isaacs (Sandy) of Clifftop, Charles Isaacs (Judy) of Nallen, Pat Isaacs (Barbara) of Hico and Nelson Isaacs (Margaret) of Maryland; her sisters-in-law, Margie Isaacs of Ranielle, Norma Isaacs of Clifftop and Nancy Isaacs of Lockbridge; and her close friends, Joe and Nancy Taylor of Charleston. She is also survived by numerous nieces nephews and cousins.
Due to COVID-19 a private family service will be Monday, June 29 at the Mausoleum at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Victor, WV.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to St. Marks United Methodist Church, 900 Washington Street, Charleston, WV, 25301.
