He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leon Cavender and Orpha Slater Cavender; and his sister Marlene Cavender. He is survived by: his son Michael Todd Cavender of Charleston; his sisters, Carol Martin (Art) and Drema Underwood (Floyd); his close friend Lois Boggess; his pet Rascal; and his nieces and nephews, Jeff Underwood (Kim), Kevin Underwood (Cathy), Mary Martin-Snead (Robert Kilpatrick) and Vicki Watts (Kevin). He is also survived by 10 great nephews and nieces.
