Elaine Townsend Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elaine Townsend of Charleston, West Virginia, born in Manchester, New Hampshire, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 25, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to Elaine's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Elaine has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Sawyer and Marjorie Goad Sawyer; her children, Michael Townsend, Sheila Manly and Wanda Townsend; her grandson Jeremy Thompson; and her great grandchild Cashton Townsend.

She is survived by: her children, Sandra Thompson (Frank) of Charleston and Kenneth Townsend (Debbie) of North Augusta. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
