She was predeceased by: her parents, George Knapp and Dicie Branard Knapp; and her children, Linda Knapp and James Knapp. She is survived by: her close friend Darrell Middleton; her children, Darrell Knapp (Janet), Richard Knapp (Sue), Frank Thompson (Sandy), Gladys Toothman (Alan) and Lisa Peal (Curtis); and her sister Emma Pettit of Charleston. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
