He was predeceased by: his grandchildren, Kenneth "Donnie" Bays and Amber Whiting; the mother of his children Hazel Irene McCune; and his siblings, Betty Jo Harper and Ed MCune of Charleston.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Bays (Ken) of Charleston and Susan Toney (John) of Dunbar; and his stepchildren, Terry of Charleston, Toby McClanahan of Charleston and Gloria Whiting (Jack) of Westerville Ohio.
