He was predeceased by: his former wife Helen Ruth Starcher Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Anna Holdren Nichols; his children, Donald C. Nichols Jr. (Barbara), Lara Fauver (Geoff), Sean Nichols (Nicole), Roy Green (Nicole) and Steven Nichols (Lindsey); and his sister Janice Pritt (Davey). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that donations be made to Hubbard Hospice House or Rand First Church of the Nazarene.
