He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Johnson and Clara Kirk Johnson; his son Michael Johnson; and his siblings, Evelyn Lucas, Glennis Johnson, Deloris Gossett, Loretta Facemire, Marilyn Roberts, Freda Hensley and Robert Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bryant Johnson; his daughter Pamela Tyree of Crow; his grandchildren, Chase Johnson of North Carolina, Dakota Tyree of Crow and Shane Tyree of Crow; and his sister Dana Richmond (Ray) of Crow.
