She was predeceased by: her parents, Buddie Bethal and Kathleen Pittman Middleton; and her brother-in-law James Knapp. She is survived by: her husband Richard Allen Knapp Sr.; her sons, Richard Allen Knapp Jr. of Charleston and Adam Knapp (Lisa) of Rand; her siblings, Darrell, Timothy James Knapp of Charleston, Marty, Bubby Middleton of South Charleston and Pam Knapp of Charleston; her siblings-in-law, Frank Thompson (Sandy), Darrell Knapp (Janet), Gladys Hancock-Toothman of Charleston and Lisa Peal of Charleston; her grandson Michael Adam Knapp; her uncle Jimmy Pittman; and her aunt Lois Asbury.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to Fidler and Frame Funeral Home, 1126 East DuPont Ave, Belle, West Virginia 25015 to help with Diana's final expenses.
