He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Houchins and Helen Houchins; his wife Edna Lee Houchins; and his son Joseph Houchins. He is survived by: his children, David Lee Houchins, Melissa Knuckles and Mary Houchins; his daughter-in-law Carolyn Houchins; and his grandchildren, Timothy Edens, Sarah Houchins, Casey Parsons, Kelly Knuckles, Rachel Houchins, Christopher Knuckles, Gary Spangler and Anthony Rogliano (Paula).
