He was predeceased by: his mother Bertha Shaver; his siblings, Steve Tinney and Sue Clement; and his sisters-in-law, Janet, Lovey and Marie Tinney.
He is survived by: his great-nephew Jamie Tinney; his niece Kelly Kesterson; his sons, Joshua Tinney (Morgan) of Poca and Jonathan Tinney of Poca; his grandchildren, Joshua "Carter", Aubriella Grace, Bud, Jack and Tom; and his sister Carol Foster (Guy) of Richwood.
