Daryoush Jamshed Mali Obituary
Dr. Daryoush Jamshed “DJ” Mali, age 79, passed from this life on Saturday June 2, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
DJ was born in Karachi, Pakistan, son of the late Jamshed and Dowlat Mashreghi Mali. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Aflatoon Mali.
He went to St. Patrick High School in Pakistan, and received his medical degree from Germany. He practiced as a pediatrician and later as a family physician in the States. He was a devoted member of the Baha’i Faith.
“DJ” is survived by his loving wife, Khatera “Kay”; son Samim Mali of Charleston; daughters, Sonja Mali Nti-Berko (David) and son Zephen all of Stone Mountain, GA and Susan Mali Bracey, (Chris) and their children Lawson and Lana all of Washington DC; brother, Dr. Cyrus Mali, (Behnaz) of Charleston; sister, Bahiyyih Nezhad, (Fareydoon) of Charleston; and a niece and several nephews.
A tribute to his life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday June 9, 2018 at Harding Funerals & Cremations. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Charleston.
