He was predeceased by: his parents, David M. Fox and Edna Bennett Fox; his siblings, Mike, Jim Fox and Dena Singelton; and his brother-in-law Jerry Singleton.
He is survived by: his wife Mary "Punkie" Fox; his sons, Darrick "Scottie" Fox II and Justin Fox (Sheena); his grandchildren, Ryleigh Fox, Thomas Fox, Jadeyn Fox, Nolan Miller, Ryker Fox and Renley Fox; his siblings, Debbie Leeson (Bub) of Grove, Gay Smithson (Sonny) of Glenville, Laine Byrd (Bob), Kristi Fox and Jon Fox (Brenda) of Parkersburg; and his sisters-in-law, Suzanne Fox and Kathy Fox. He is also survived by his beagles, spoiling his grandchildren.
