She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark Boggess and Bessie Boggess; and her spouse Charleston Mayor G. Kemp Melton. She is survived by: her daughters, Jeanie Melton and Cindy Dobson (Barry); her grandchildren, Corena Maiden (Travis May), Kate Forman (Isaac), David Dobson (Kelly) and Cory Dobson (Catherine Bui); and her great grandchildren, Jordan, McKenzie May, Nora and Vera Forman.
