He is survived by: his wife Patricia Coe Friend; his daughters, Teresa Steele (Tim) of California and Pamela Sowden (Brian McCormick) of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Brittany, Billy and Brandi; his stepson Greg Mace of Charleston; his brother Donnie; his friend Clarksburg; and his sister-in-law Sue Shafer of Charleston.
