With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Newman Jefferson of Charleston, West Virginia, born in Huntington, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 22, 2024. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Roger Jefferson; her daughter Laura Jefferson Anitori of Powell, OH; her grandchildren, Sara Anitori of Columbus, Mary Anitori of Columbus and Adam Jefferson of Huntington, WV.; her close friends, Becky Bannon of Myrtle Beach, Judy May Hayes of Huntington, Mary Townson of Charleston and Vicki Pendell of Charleston; her parents, Pearley Newman and Marie Clay Newman; her son Brad II (Rebecca Stafford); and her friends, Gail Perry and Mary Withum.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Snodgrass Funeral Home (4122 MacCorkle Ave SW, Charleston, WV 25309). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Spring Hill Cemetery (1427 Norway Ave, Huntington, WV 25705).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley, Faith in Action – River Cities, or to the Charleston Hospice House.
