He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas and Lula Thomas; his children, Jack Thomas and Beverly Seidman; and his brothers, Freddie, Lambert and Jack Thomas.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Thomas; his children, Carla Settles (Gary) of Lexington, KY and William Thomas (Penny) of Frame, WV; and his sister Nancy Barnette (David). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter.
