She was predeceased by: her parents, Tilghman Welby Redmond and Rebecca Virginia McElvaney Redmond; her husband Stephen E. Atkinson; and her son Michael Alan Atkinson. She is survived by: her daughter Carles Gonsman (Jim) of Claysburg, PA; and her grandchildren, Marsha Barnett Cooke (Billy) of Katy, TX, Shannon Schafer, Lindsay Schols, Brenden Manthorpe, Aaron Cooke, Meredith Cooke, Michael A. Atkinson II, Shawn Atkinson and Tyler Atkinson. She is also survived by her 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Paul United Methodist Church (4606 Kanawha Tpke, South Charleston, WV 25309). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
