He is survived by: his wife Mary Grinstead Burgess; his son Mark; his daughter-in-law Beth Burgess; his daughter Susan; his son-in-law Jeff Himrod; his grandchildren, Matthew Burgess, Allison Himrod, Sam Himrod and Tyler Himrod; his stepsister Jackie Heywood; and his pet Molly.
