She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Edward and Kathleen Wotring Shilling. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Faulkes of South Charleston; her sons, George Faulkes of South Charleston and Will Faulkes of South Charleston; her siblings, Tim Shilling (Melanie) of St. Albans, Charles Thomas Shilling of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Nancy Enger of Urbana and Mary Searls (Robert) of Hurricane; and her sisters-in-law, Cynthia "Cindy" S. Lawson of Richmond, Virginia, Danna J. Munson (Bradley) of Rockford, Gloria J. Faulkes of Madison and Georgia C. Hudson of Dunbar.
Betty loved her pets so in lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Kanawha Charleston Humane Association, 1248 Greenbrier St, Charleston, WV 25311 or to CORE, as she was also an organ donor, Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE), 204 Sigma Drive.
