She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Portz and Mary Wright Portz. She is survived by: her husband Jack Underwood of South Charleston; her sons, Jarrell Underwood and Darrell Underwood of Georgia; her siblings, Otto Portz of South Charleston, Pixie Bays of St. Albans and Joanna Showen of Florida; her grandchildren, Dustin Ford, Josiah Mason and Hannah Mason; and her great grandchild Gage Ford.
In lieu of a service and flowers, Betty personally requested a donation be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
