He was predeceased by: his parents, Rome C. Bays and Beatrice L. Bays; his wife Alice Jo; and his sisters, Freda Fox and Phyllis Mallory.
He is survived by: his sons, Shawn Bays (Denise) of Catlett, VA, Scott Bays (Karen) of Lexington, KY and Steve Bays (Peggy) of South Charleston; his grandchildren, Alex, Shae, Corey, Andrew, Jonathan, Jeremy, Ryan Bays, Michael Huffman, Katie Huffman, Emily and Elisha Parsons; his great grandchildren, Conner, Parker Bays, Payton and Aiden Porter; and his sister Janet (Alonzo). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family has asked that all COVID-19 guidelines are followed at all times during the services.
