She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Spencer and Holbert Spencer of Charleston. She is survived by: her husband Roger Thompson; her son Christopher Thompson (Robin) of Atlanta, GA; her sister-in-law Brenda Phillips; her grandchildren, Bailee Thompson, Andrew Thompson (Stephanie) and Zachary Kelley; and her nephew David Phillips (Juanita). She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
