She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Sherman and Jenny Sherman; her husband Charles Buchanan (Chuck); her sons, Steven and Craig Abshire; her brothers, Stanley, Leslie and Leonard Sherman; and her granddaughter Rhiannon.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Abshire (Donna), Jerry Abshire (Cindy) and Sandy Brogan (Walter); her grandchildren, Jessica Perkins (Kristopher), Michael Pugliese, Joseph Abshire, Kristen, Melissa Abshire, Tiffany Abshire and Nicole Ikewood; and her great grandchildren, Julian, Jadon Cruz, Avery Pugliese, Kiersten Abshire, Abbie, Delacy and Steven.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association, 1248 Greenbrier Street, Charleston, WV 25311 or American Diabetes Association, in loving memory of Barbara Buchanan.
