It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aretta Smith of Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on July 17, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Smith and Mary Crank Smith; and her sister-in-law Devra Lynn Smith. She is survived by: her children, Carl "Junior" Smith of Florida and Debra Taylor (Jodi) of Sissonville; her brothers, Franklin Smith (Devra) of Florida, Robert Smith (Isabelle) of Charleston and John Smith (Connie) of Louisiana; her grandchildren, Jason and Harley of Sissonville; and her great grandchildren, Amora and Oliver of Sissonville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
