He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce E. Stephenson; his stepdaughter Susan Smith; and his parents, Frank Stephenson and Alice Toler Stephenson. He is survived by: his siblings, Alvin Stephenson of Charleston, Delbert Stephenson of St. Albans, Ronnie Stephenson of St. Albans, John Stephenson of Campbells Creek, Frank Stephenson of Charleston, Darrell Stephenson of Charleston and Linda Bowling of St. Albans; and his stepchildren, Shawn Smith of Deltona, FL, David Smith of Punta Gorda, FL and Jo Ann Smith of Columbus.
