She was predeceased by: her father Charles B.; her grandmother L. Summers Pritt; and her sister Brenda Fay Thorton. She is survived by: her husband James Ira Whitney; and her sons, James Whitney (Melody), Tim Whitney (Erica), Mike Whitney (Sherri) and Bill Whitney (Kista). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren.
