She was predeceased by: her husband Clifford A. Harrison; her parents, Willie Ames Grose and Kathleen Hanshaw Grose; her son Gary Wayne Powell; and her grandson Todd Powell.

She is survived by: her brother Lewis Russell Grose; her children, Carolyn Schwarz (Todd), Debbie Skiles (Greg) and Robert Powell; her grandchildren, Jeremy Skiles (Megan), Kara Spencer (David) and Matthew Schwarz; and also, Karen Tolbert and Pastor Fred Christian. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
