Richard Edward Meehleib Obituary
My Dad, Our Dad, was a loving father, husband, grandfather, uncle, son, brother and friend. His name was Richard Meehleib. He passed away on April 19, 2025 at the age of 77. He went to be with our Mom who he loved very much. He missed her dearly and often talked about her. Our memories of them will always be cherished.
He leaves behind two sons, Alan and Ryan, a daughter, Ronda, daughter-in-law, Selina, three grandchildren, Savanna, Nolan and Emma, and special friend, Carol Bradley.
Among all the things he was, I could see that his most favorite thing was to be a grandfather or Pap, as he was known. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, as he loved to watch them grow and experience new things. He was a lucky man, he got to see them make it to college and grow into young adults. He was very proud of the family he had built. It bought him great joy in life. He led a good respectful life, a life I have based my life on. I could not think of a better example. He was a giving and kind person. He was active in his community by helping the homeless have a warm safe night's rest by volunteering in the shelters, delivering food to them for Meals On Wheels. He passed those principals down to us as well. He loved to play golf until his body did not allow him to play any longer. When we were kids, he would take us with him, so we would not annoy him, he would let us drive the cart and gave us a lot of candy, so we would not get on his nerves and he could play a few more holes. He was a trusted mentor. As I became old enough to understand this world we live in, I realize that all of the things he was, is actually very rare to find. We are blessed and thankful that he belonged to us and that he chose to give all those things to us. Thank you, and we will always hold close the sacrifices you have made for your family. We love you Dad and you will be deeply missed.
