David Michael Smallwood Obituary
The memory of David Michael Smallwood of Charles Town, West Virginia, who passed away on February 19, 2025 at the age of 72, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his mother Louise Virginia Greenwalt Smallwood (Greenwalt); his son Joey Smallwood; his former wife Judy Penwell; and his half-sister Judy Saylor. He is survived by: his father Walter Francis Smallwood, Jr.; his sons, Michael Smallwood (Melissa), Jeffrey Smallwood, John Virts and Joshua Virts (Sarah); his siblings, Phyllis Dillow (Donald), Jackie Gore (Michael) and Walter "Peanie" Smallwood, III (Nancy); and his former wife Irene Powell. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home (256 Halltown Rd, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (49 Crosswinds Dr, Charles Town, WV 25425).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church.
