He was predeceased by: his parent William Kennis McCoy; his son Joseph Earnest McCoy; and his siblings, Roscoe, Velva, Delman, Cleo, Aloma and Arbutus.

He is survived by: his parent Nancy Elizabeth Hall McCoy; his wife Phyllis Ann McCoy; his children, Keith McCoy Jr, Kennis McCoy (Alla) of Port St, Trenise McCoy (Penny), Bridgett Varney (Bea) of Stoutsville, Rachel Ann Jewell and Jeremiah Joseph McCoy; his grandchildren, Maranda, Dustin, Cody, Jessica, Kyrstina, Will and Elizabeth; his siblings, Kennis Forest McCoy (Ada), Hester Manns, Loretta Lewis (Gilbert) and Dottie Brewer; and his niece Velnetta Manns.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made toward the funeral expenses at Evans Funeral Home in Chapmanville, W.Va.
