He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Dingess and Margaret Dingess (Davis); his wife Birdie Jewel Frye; his siblings, Albert, Darrell Dingess, Jewel Ramey and Amy Madaline Headley; and his siblings-in-law, Craig Frye, Jimmy Headley, Monroe Ramey, Luther McCann and Racine Dingess.
He is survived by: his children, Eric Dingess (Betina) of Wayne, WV and Lisa Adkins of Wayne, WV; his grandchildren, Jacob Dingess of Wayne, WV, Rachel Dingess of Wayne, WV, Jaiden Dingess of Wayne, WV, Stephen Dingess of Wayne, WV, Kelsi Garl (Brandon) of Wayne, WV, Courtney Adkins (Adam Chafin) of Harts, WV and Nicole Adkins of Jacksonville, FL; his great grandchildren, Avery, Amelia and Nolan; and his sisters, Judy McCann of Chapmanville, WV, Mary Frye of Harts, WV and Barbara Vance (Isaiah) of Wheelersburg, OH..
