He is survived by : his children, Troy Schafer of Austin, Sarah Schafer of Chapmanville, Erin Schafer, Katy Schafer and Ashley Schafer of Rancho Cordova, California.; his brother Jerry Schafer; and his sister-in-law Jayne Schafer of Chapmanville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
