It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane Ann Dowdy (Chapmanville, West Virginia), born in Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on May 9, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Sylvester VanMeter; her husband Lawrence Clinton Dowdy; her sons, Lawrence Clinton Dowdy Jr. and Gary Lee Dowdy; her children-in-law, Peggy Dowdy and Robert Browning; and her siblings, Clara Peck, Martha White, David VanMeter and Sherman VanMeter.
She is survived by: her parent Myrtle VanMeter; her children, Kathy Browning, Sherman Dowdy (Delta), Clark Dowdy (Anna) and Keith Dowdy (Pamela); and her siblings, Emma White, Mary Vance, Florence Hodges and Charles VanMeter.
