She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry Godby and Jeanette Godby; her husband Donald Skeens; and her children, Mary Scenik, Robert Skeens, Ronald Skeens, Jeanette Pedigo, John Skeens and Linda Dietrich. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
