He is survived by: his mother Joan Dempsey (Millard Tomblin); his son Nathaniel Dempsey; his siblings, Douglas Dempsey (Iva), Charlotte Adams (Russell), Betty Taylor and Shirley Kitchen; his aunt Brenda Bryant (Ira); and his nieces, Katelyn Brumfield-Vang, Olivia Adams and Seneca Dempsey.
