She is survived by : her father Emory Lee Carter (Ida); her close friend Jonathan Allen King; her children, Raynbow Skye Carter-Freeman, Sebestyen Reid Carter-King and Benngee Alan Carter-King; her sister Melody Sue Carter (Lisa Marteny); and her nephew Gage N. Carter-Marteny.
