He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Kenna and Mary Vance Duty; his grandparents, Harvey Perry Duty, Lydia Jane Ferrell Duty, John Wesley Vance and Sarah Stephenson Vance; his parents-in-law, Ruby and Wetzel Brumfield; his wife Iva Jean Duty; his sons, John, Steve and Billie Duty; and his nephew Harold Hicks.
He is survived by: his children, Sibbie Likens, Donna Adkins, Timothy Duty (Tammy) of Harts, WV, Robert Duty (Davanna) of Harts, WV and Scott Duty (Yvonne) of Dayton, OH. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
