He was predeceased by: his parents, Bycle Sr. Hensley and Georgia Hensley; his grandparents, Ed, Ellen Tomblin Hensley, James "Buddy" and Ellen Workman Carter; his brother Timmie Hensley; his siblings-in-law, Kim B. Deskins, Linda Susan Hensley and Tom Yeager Ferrell; and his parents-in-law, George and Irene A. Baisden.
He is survived by: his wife Peggie Baisden Hensley of Chapmanville; his children, Alisha VanderZwaag (Chip), Josh Hensley (Ali), Ben Hensley (Kelli) and Derrick Hensley (Soma); his siblings, Sandra "Susie" Ferrell, Adean Gullett (Denny), Odell Hensley and Bycle Hensley Jr.; and his grandchildren, Georgia Hensley, Sawyer, Delaney Hurley, Hannah, Logan, Luke, Jackson Hensley, Jenna, Taya, Maggie and Charlie VanderZwaag. He is also survived by children and grandchildren, talking coal mining with friends.
