He was predeceased by: his parents, George Carter and Emma Carter; his siblings, Ida Blake, Creasie Mays, Joyce Blake, Lyda Yates, Linda Carter, Roy Carter and Paul Carter; and his grandson Tristan.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Yates Carter; his children, Sandy Webb (Alex) of Wayne, Amy Carter of Lavalette, W. V and David Carter (Christina) of Huntington, W. V; his grandsons, Aaryn Webb, Zach Carter, Ryan Carter and Trenity Carter; and his brothers, Homer Carter of Prichard, W. V, Zeri Carter of Wayne and Calvin Carter of Wayne. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
