He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Thompson and Grace Marie Reynolds Thompson; his son Ireland Glen Thompson II (Kim); and his siblings, Helen Hyder, Charles Adkins, Pete Thompson, Cecil Thompson, Dolly Thompson, Rena Compnotta, Dallas Thompson, Mack Thompson, Harold Thompson, Terry Thompson and Ernie Thompson.
He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Thompson; his significant other Susie Shockley; his grandchildren, Grace Thompson, Alexander Thompson, Steve Bartos, Josh Christie, Mary Christie and Mimi Baaub; and his brothers, Kenneth Thompson (Sue) of Columbus and Eugene Thompson (Ruth) of Columbus, Ohio. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
