He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Adkins and Vicie Ferguson Adkins; his wife Anna Laura Pratt Adkins; and his siblings, Ervin B., Oscar Jr., Shirley Ray, Otis E., Jetta Lee Adkins, Jewel Sunderland and June Napier.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara, Gary McConnell, Mike, Terry and Donald; his siblings, Fred T. Adkins and Cleo Harger; and his grandchildren, Stuart, Natalie, Paul, Karina, Laurie, Dustin, Gary Bruce, Nikkie, Ethan, Anna, John and Hannah Jayne. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
