He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Pyles and Pearl Greenlief Pyles; his brothers, Francis Pyles, Harley Pyles and Earnest Pyles; his son Jerry Mickel Pyles; and his sisters, Betty Linger and Elaine Greenlief.
He is survived by: his wife Clesta Lea Miller Pyles; his children, Brenda Litton (Jeff) of Ayden and Daniel Pyles (Rebecca) of Glenville; his siblings, Gary Pyles of Weston, Ronnie Pyles of Turkey Fork and Alice Mackey (Judd) of Turkey Fork; his grandchildren, Brittney Wier (Tyler) of Ayden, Casey Tripp (Matthew) of Ayden, Mikala, Caleb and Raianna of Glenville; and his great grandchildren, Brooke Wier of Ayden, Jaxson Tripp of Ayden and Sydney Tripp of Ayden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
