George A. Sponaugle Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George A. Sponaugle of Cedarville, West Virginia, who passed away on February 23, 2025 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Sponaugle and Daisy Sponaugle (Beckett); his wife Elaine Sponaugle (Norman); and his siblings, Muriel Marshall, David Sponaugle, Geneva Stout and Ethel Oliva Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Hanna of Camden, Larry "Bud" Sponaugle (Karen) of Cedarville and Kelley Sponaugle (Carol) of Cedarville; his grandchildren, Tanya Isenhart (Norman), Kyle Sponaugle (Jennifer) and Cara Sponaugle; his great grandchildren, Aiden Isenhart, Reagan Sponaugle and Mason Sponaugle; and his nephew Mike Sponaugle (Leah) of Cedarville.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc. (2 Vanhorn Dr, Glenville, WV 26351). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Cedarville Community Cemetery, 9497 Cedar Creek Road, Cedarville, WV 26611 in honor of George.
