It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Jean Burgess of Cedar Grove, West Virginia, who passed away on December 31, 2022, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband David Burgess Sr.; her daughter Brandy Petry; and her parents, Woodrow Smith and Edna Means Smith. She is survived by: her children, Joseph Smith (Tonya) of Cabin Creek, David Burgess Jr. (Crystal) of Winfield, Jesse Burgess (Courtney) of Cedar Grove, Allen Burgess of Cabin Creek, Lacey Carpenter (Travis) of Sissonville and Macey Burgess (Mauricio) of Belle; and her siblings, Tammy Smith of Alum Creek, Larry Smith (Jeannie) of Cabin Creek and Lewis Smith (Linda) of Lincoln County.
