It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry R. Shanholtz Sr. of Capon Bridge, West Virginia, born in Augusta, West Virginia, who passed away on August 10, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil E. Shanholtz and Ada Haines Shanholtz; his significant other Vivian Elaine Sirbaugh Shanholtz; and his siblings, Wilber "Buck" Shanholtz, Ralph "Curley" Shanholtz, Lyle Shanholtz, Elvin "Burr" Shanholtz, William "Billy" Shanholtz, Gay Shanholtz, Andrew "Andy" Shanholtz, Gary Shanholtz, Pauline Alkire, Sarah Slonaker and Adine Wolford.
He is survived by: his sons, Larry R. "Randy" Shanholtz, Jr. (Wanda) of Capon Bridge, WV, Jerry D. Shanholtz, Sr. of Winchester, VA, Steven T. Shanholtz, Sr. (Candy) of Winchester, VA and Bryan E. Shanholtz (Michele) of Augusta, WV. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
